Our Eye Surgeons
Specifically our Ophthalmologists (Eye Doctors), who operate in Vizyon Eye Hospital, specialized in the treatment of known eye diseases and defects. Especially, our eye doctors have devoted general eye diseases treatments, laser eye surgery, cataract surgery, posterior and anterior segment treatments.
Although we do not only perform eye surgeries at Vizyon Eye Hospital. Particularly we are trying to improve our eye treatments by researching and applying treatment techniques and technologies with our eye doctors.
Furthermore our 100% dedication to excellence by using the latest technologies in medicine lies behind the fact that helps us achieve eye surgery results that are especially pleasing to our patients and makes our Eye Surgeons one of the best in their field. Especially many of our colleagues who need eye treatments at our centers have regained their vision thanks to the eye surgeries performed by our Eye Doctors and our successful treatments.
Education Information :
He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Konya. Dr. Veli Ümit ATİK graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1989, and subsequently received his Ophthalmology Specialization training from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1993. Later Dr. Ümit ATİK worked on cataract-glaucoma and Phacoemulsification procedures at München Augen Klinic Der Universitat. He has focused his scientific and clinical studies on retinal diseases, Vitreoretinal surgery and cataract surgery. Dr. Ümit ATİK Places where he worked as a doctor: 1998-2000 Mersin State Hospital, 2000-2002 Mersin Diabetes Hospital, 2002-2006 Mersin State Hospital and lastly, he has been working as a partner doctor at Vizyon Eye Hospital since 2006.

He was born in 1965 and is from Mut district of Mersin. Following Konya Anatolian High School, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, department of English education. He ranked 7th in Turkey in the Medical Specialization Examination held in 1989 and was accepted to the Department of Ophthalmology at Ege University, where he graduated in 1994.
His works have been published in domestic and international magazines. He studied at the American Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Tulane Universities. He worked with world-renowned vitreoretinal surgeon Gholam Peyman. He took part in Mersin Diabetes Hospital eye clinic since its opening in 1997. He has been working at Vizyon Eye Hospital, where he took an active role in its establishment, since 2006.

He was born in Mersin in 1970. He graduated from Mersin Tevfik Sırrı Gür High School in 1987. He completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He completed his Ophthalmology education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He worked at Mut State Hospital between 1998-2000. served.
He worked at Mersin Diabetes Hospital between 2000 and 2006. He has been working at Vizyon Eye Hospital since June 2006.
He is currently a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) and the Turkish Ophthalmology Association (TOD).

Dr. Afsane Hoşbaht Cengiz graduated from EGE Faculty of Medicine, and also completed her specialty training in the Department of Ophthalmology of EGE Faculty of Medicine.
After 9 years of service at Diabetes Hospital, she has taken part in the establishment of Vizyon Göz in order to further increase the quality of service in the field of ophthalmology. Since May 2006, she has been working as the Medical Director on the experienced physician staff of Vizyon Göz Hospital.
She especially focuses on medical retina, cataract, and glaucoma surgery, as well as eye-related aesthetic surgery procedures that concern diabetic eye damage.
She is one of the founding physicians of the Mersin Diabetes Hospital-Eye department and started to serve as the Eye Unit manager in 1997. She has offered modern treatment approaches and advanced surgical techniques for eye diseases to his patients. He made great contributions to the introduction of LASER technology and phacomulsification methods in treatment in Mersin.

He was born in Kars in 1979. He graduated from Yenimahalle Anatolian Technical High School in 1997. He graduated from his Çukurova Faculty of Medicine and he was accepted to the Department of Ophthalmology at Sivas Cumhuriyet University, where he graduated in 2013.
He completed his compulsory service in Kilis between 2013 and 2015. He worked at Medical Park Hospital for one year. He currently works at Vizyon Eye Hospital as refractive surgeon and oculoplastic surgeon.

Dr. İdil GÖKSEL was born in Hatay, İskenderun, in 1983. Following his pre-graduate studies, she started his medical education at the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2001, completed with honors in 2007, and received the title of Doctor of Medicine. She did her specialization at the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, between 2008 and 2013 and became an ophthalmologist. In 2013-2014, it established a full-fledged eye clinic in Kars Kağızman State Hospital and started to provide services in private hospitals after performing more than 2 thousand cases.
Dr. İdil Göksel worked at Vizyon Eye Hospital between 2014 and 2016, carried out studies between 2016 and 2023 to maximize her professional experience in private hospitals equipped with the latest technology devices in Istanbul, Sakarya, Mersin, Tarsus, and Baku, both at home and abroad. Currently, Dr. İdil GÖKSEL continues her professional work at Vizyon Eye Hospital.
Throughout her career in ophthalmology, she has carried out much domestic and international clinical research and published scientific articles.

In 2017, She was awarded the title of specialist in ophthalmology at Adana Numune ve Araştırma Hospital. She successfully passed the international eye specialist equivalence exams and received the FICO, FEBO, FRCS titles. She regularly goes to Niger, Africa, as a volunteer ophthalmologist through the TİKA association. Dr. Fethiye HAMAD worked as the first volunteer ophthalmologist at Mustafa Kemal University during the Hatay earthquake. She worked at Yeni Hayat Hospital and Kızılay Hospital. It currently continues at Mersin Private Vizyon Eye Hospital.
