Laser Hair Removal
Laser epilation is the permanent removal of unwanted hair. Laser beams are directed to the hair root at blinking speed intervals. The hair follicle is heated, the dried hair follicle will not grow again. The light of the laser is absorbed by the melonin pigment, thus preventing the application from damaging the forehead tissue. It is a fast and very simple application. One of the most frequently used aesthetic applications is permanent hair removal treatment applied with laser.
Using laser beams, the hair follicles are dried and their regrowth is prevented. Skin color is the main factor in application differences. Due to the wavelength of the laser used, Alexandrite laser is much more effective on light-colored skin. Diode laser application is preferred in patients with dark skin. After the examination, a special laser type is selected.
Session intervals of diode laser ironing may vary from person to person. The reason for this is that the application areas are different. For whole body epilation, a period of 6 to 8 sessions at intervals of five weeks will generally be sufficient. Hair removal treatment can usually be started after adolescence. It can be applied to the armpits, bikini area and legs.
We can list the areas where laser epilation is applied on the body as follows.
- Neck and Nape
- Face and Chin
- Armpit and Arm
- Chest and Back
- Leg
- Above Mustache and Beard
- Genital and Bikini Area
Laser Epilation applications are not harmful to health. Laser epilation does not carry any risks if applied to appropriate skin structures. It should not be performed on people who have a pacemaker or have advanced diabetes. If there are skin problems such as acne or sunburn in the applied area, the procedure can be performed after the problems are resolved. The redness in the areas where the procedure was performed will disappear within 1 – 2 days.
