Dr Ümit ATİK (Ophthalmic Surgeon)

Education:

Dr Ümit Atik, a founder of Vizyon Eye Hospital, was born in Mut in 1965. He graduated from Konya Anatolian High School in 1983 and from the English-language medical programme at Hacettepe University in 1989. That same year, he ranked fifth nationally in TUS, the Medical Specialisation Examination. He completed his ophthalmology specialist training at Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine between 1989 and 1993. In 1997, he worked on cataract, glaucoma and phacoemulsification at the Augen Klinik der Universität München.

His scientific and clinical work focuses on vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery and excimer laser treatments. He has worked at Vizyon Eye Hospital since 2006 and has performed over 50,000 operations.
